Tufo
Tufo was founded in 1991 in the Czech Republic, with the aim of producing the best tubular tyres available.
From the outset Tufo worked with top athletes to help develop products that perform exactly as required. From small beginnings, Tufo have expanded to me market leaders exporting to over 50 countries, and a catalogue of over 45 models of tubulars across road, track, time-trial, cyclocross, mountain bike and triathlon disciplines as well as wheelchair sports, artistic cycling and cycloball. Despite their success and rapid growth, all Tufo tyres are still handmade in the Czech Republic.
Tufo continue to expand their operations, with the development of a tubular to suit clincher rims, allowing for greater tyre pressures and less rolling resistance. Tufo has also developed a ‘glue tape’ to allow for easier application and tubular tyres, and recently have just released a carbon tubular mountain bike wheel in collaboration with DT Swiss.
